Material Advantage Group showed its strength at the Brazil Offshore Exhibition in Macae, 16-19 June.
This is the second time this international event has taken place and it is specifically for companies directly involved in all aspects of the offshore industry.
ESS, Ancon and Nexus joined forces to demonstrate their comprehensive product and service offering; the Group had a newly designed exhibition stand to reflect the recent rebranding and took the opportunity to explore the potential of this part of the world.
Material Advantage Group has announced the acquisition of Nexus Precision Engineering in June 2009.
Broxburn-based Nexus is very well respected in the industry for the manufacture of very large, complex precision components and provides a total solutions package - from material procurement through to finished parts.
Material Advantage Group Chief Executive Philip Kirkham commented "Nexus Precision Engineering has been known to us and worked alongside us for many years. The workforce are highly skilled and dedicated and the company enjoys an excellent global reputation. Their skills and specialist expertise make a perfect addition to our Group resources; I am delighted to be able to offer our customers a yet-again enhanced service package".
Nexus will join forces with Group companies ESS and Ancon in opening a purpose-built facility in Malaysia.
Due for completion in October 2009, the new facility in Johor will enhance the Group’s global presence, combining world-class raw material supply with precision engineering excellence.
